How To Use This Blog
Here are some tips on using this blog.
If you are having trouble reading the posts because of type size, adjust the text for easier reading:
* Go to the menu at the very top of your browser and click on the View menu. When the drop-down menu appears, cursor down to Text Size and select Increase, Decrease or Normal.
To be notified by email when a new post is added to the blog:
* Look on the left sidebar of the blog and find the section called “Subscribe to this site.” Put your email address in the yellow box under the icon of the small envelope and the words Subscribe by email, and click on the Subscribe button. Next, a small screen will appear that tells you your subscription request has been accepted. In this window will be a sequence of letters you need to re-type into a box directly under them. This is an added security feature.
Now click on the Complete Subscription Request button and another small window will open. This window tells you to check your inbox for an email from “confirmations@emailenfuego.com” & with the subject line “Activate your Email Subscription to: Loving Farewells.” Find and open that email (it may be in your junk email folder) and click on the link provided within. You will then see the screen with the message Email Subscription Confirmed!
Now, every time I post new information in the blog, you will be notified by email. The email will be from FeedBurner and contain the title of the newest blog posting in the subject line.
To have an RSS feed notify you when a new post is added to the blog:
* Look on the left sidebar of the blog and find the section called “Subscribe to this site.” Click on the link next to the small orange box. On the next screen you will be able to choose the reader you prefer. The final step will depend on which reader you have selected, and instructions will be provided by the specific service. After that, you will see when new posts are added to the blog by clicking on the Loving Farewells button located in a menu at the top of your browser window.
To email a post to a friend, colleague or family member:
* Look under the title of the particular post you want to share with others and see a small envelope with a link beside it. Click on this “Email This Post” link. You will be taken to a page where you enter information and also have the opportunity to write why you think this post may be important to them.
I encourage you to contribute to the posts and also to read comments made by other grievers. This sharing communication can be very helpful to all of us. To comment:
* To read or write comments, click on the Comments link located directly under a post’s title or on the right side at the end of a post. You will arrive on a page with an empty text box titled Leave a Reply. Please don’t worry about typing skills, grammar, punctuation or spelling as you write your comment.
Share your feelings from your heart, knowing you will be helping other grievers and yourself through a tough time. Then click on the Submit Comment button. Your comment may not show up right away, since some comments are held for moderation to prevent spam. Please do not re-submit comments you’ve already made.
* All comments will be monitored and are not guaranteed a reply. When writing your comments and sharing your feelings, be mindful of the feelings of others. Respect the person who has died, yourself and other grievers participating in the Loving Farewells blog.
What Is the Blogroll?
* Under the Blogroll heading, there are active links to websites I believe can help in your journey through grief and toward your future. Let your intuition guide you to which of these resources could be helpful as you are learning, growing and healing. The content varies greatly and might be more appropriate at different times in your grief process. Not all sites are for everyone, but there is probably one that can be helpful to you.
* If you hold your cursor over a link in the Blogroll, you will see more information describing the content of that particular resource. When you click on a link, the site or blog you are interested in will open in a new window. Additions to the Blogroll will be made as I discover sites/blogs to help in the process of experiencing grief and returning to life.
Sincerely sending you Peace, Love & Creativity,
Tricia Sample
